The Country Club of Sioux Falls is a great place to work, and we are looking for a Fitness Trainer to join our team! This successful candidate will help our members achieve their health and wellness goals. Their office, our fitness center, is 1,500 square feet and includes 24/7 access, multiple cardio machine offerings, weight machines, free weights, medicine balls, mats, bands, and more…. 

Areas of responsibility:

• Administer fitness evaluations 
• Develop exercise plan around goals and commitment levels
• Conduct individual and group fitness training sessions
• Track progress and adjust programs as/when needed
• Oversee the use of equipment to ensure proper use and overall safety 
• Offer and promote fitness plan and programs
• Monitor equipment and inform club of repairs needed
• Have ability to perform first aid and CPR if needed

Requirements:

• Degree in exercise science preferred but not required 
• Understanding of golf preferred but but required
• Previous work experience as a trainer or instructor 
• Red Cross certified in CPR/ Defibrillator 
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate all ages and abilities
• Team player
• Excellent communication skills
• Be available to membership when needed

Our Fitness Trainer will act as an Independent Contractor. There will be a $500 monthly fee that he/she pays to the facility, and in return they will receive full access to the fitness center, the ability to market services exclusively to 778 memberships, and guaranteed monthly billing. The club will be responsible for upkeeping the fitness center and all of its equipment.
